In the Russian ballet, the Nutcracker, Clara receives a nutcracker for Christmas, from her godfather Drosselmeier, who in her dream goes into a battle against the Mouse King at night. With her help, the nutcracker wins, who then turns into a prince and travels with her to the realm of sweets.
Our nutcracker shows Mr. Drosselmeier with a gift in hand: the nutcracker, in the other hand a watch. He wears an eye patch and an elaborate handmade robe, with a cylinder decorated with stars and a blue brocade vest.
