It seems that this nutcracker comes directly from Ireland. But he is, like all our nutcrackers, handmade in the Erzgebirge and "Made in Germany". The classic green-plaid costume and the shamrock on his bucket, filled with gold coins, betray him. To his plaid skirt, he wears a bagpipe and plays the tune "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling".
