Electric Light Arch with 10 Candles and Snowmen – White (Corded)

The Electric Light Arch with 10 Candles and Snowmen Figures – White is a wonderfully detailed, handcrafted interpretation of one of the most beloved symbols of traditional German Christmas culture, created by our FRIEND partner Gahlenz.

Made from solid natural wood and finished in a clear, natural tone, this classic Schwibbogen features a graceful, expanded arched silhouette with ten evenly arranged candle-style lights. Designed with built-in display shelves that are lovingly decorated with detailed wooden figures, including charming snowmen, fir trees, and a larger central snowman figure that doubles as a traditional incense smoker, it offers a wonderful tiered stage that brings a festive winter scene to life. Its clean, timeless design reflects the traditional character of Erzgebirge Christmas decorations, while the natural wood grain gives the piece a distinctive, authentic appearance. The solid wooden construction highlights the quality of the craftsmanship and gives the light arch a substantial, warm presence.

The light arch is electrically illuminated and equipped with ten candle-style lights. It operates via a power cord, allowing the candles to glow warmly when connected to electricity. The soft illumination creates a welcoming and festive atmosphere and makes the Schwibbogen especially beautiful when displayed in a window, on a sideboard, mantel, or as the centerpiece of a traditional Christmas arrangement.

The Schwibbogen has a long and meaningful tradition in Germany’s Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge). Originally inspired by the mining heritage of the region, these illuminated arches became symbols of light during the dark winter months. For generations, families have placed Schwibbögen in their windows during Advent and Christmas, creating the warm, glowing atmosphere that has become inseparably connected with traditional Erzgebirge Christmas culture.

With its ten lights, solid wood construction, charming snowman figures, and elegant white finish, the Electric Light Arch with 10 Candles and Snowmen Figures – White brings authentic German Christmas tradition and warm seasonal illumination into your home. It can be displayed on its own or combined with nutcrackers, incense smokers, angels, miners, and other handcrafted Erzgebirge decorations to create a festive and harmonious holiday scene.

This light arch is manufactured by our FRIEND Gahlenz. STEINBACH Volkskunst offers this unique piece in its online shop but does not manufacture the item itself.
