Electric Light Arch with 7 Candles and Figures – Natural (Corded)

The Electric Light Arch with 7 Candles and Figures – Natural Wood is a lovingly detailed, handcrafted interpretation of one of the most beloved symbols of traditional German Christmas culture, created by our FRIEND partner Gahlenz.

Made from solid natural wood with a clear finish, this classic Schwibbogen features a graceful arched silhouette holding seven evenly arranged candle-style lights. Inside and beneath the arch, a festive winter and Christmas scene unfolds with hand-painted wooden figures, including playing children, cheerful snowmen, and small pine trees. Its harmonious design reflects the traditional character of Erzgebirge Christmas decorations, while the natural wood grain gives the piece an authentic and warm appearance. The solid wooden construction highlights the high quality of craftsmanship and provides a valuable, authentic presence.

The light arch is electrically operated and equipped with seven candle-shaped lamps. It connects via a power cord, allowing the candles to spread a warm and inviting glow. This soft illumination creates a cozy, festive atmosphere and makes the Schwibbogen look especially beautiful on a windowsill, a sideboard, a mantelpiece, or as the centerpiece of a traditional Christmas display.

The Schwibbogen looks back on a long and meaningful tradition in Germany's Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge). Originally inspired by the region's mining heritage, these illuminated arches became symbols of light during the dark winter months. For generations, families have placed Schwibbögen in their windows during Advent and the Christmas season to create the warm and homely atmosphere that is inseparably connected with Erzgebirge Christmas culture.

With its seven lights, solid natural wood construction, charming figures, and traditional design, the Electric Light Arch with 7 Candles and Figures – Natural Wood brings traditional German craftsmanship and atmospheric lighting into your home. It can be displayed beautifully on its own or combined with nutcrackers, incense smokers, angels, and other handcrafted Erzgebirge figures to create a harmonious holiday scene.

This light arch is manufactured by our FRIEND Gahlenz. STEINBACH Volkskunst offers this unique piece in its online shop but does not manufacture the item itself.
