His friendly expression, flowing white beard, rosy cheeks, and carefully painted details give this small wooden figure the unmistakable character of traditional German Christmas folk art. Standing approximately 3 inches (7.5 cm) tall, he is part of the Gahlenz Christmas Chapel collection, a series of miniature Santa musicians designed to create a charming and lively musical ensemble.

Gahlenz has been preserving the traditional craftsmanship of Erzgebirge wooden folk art for more than 100 years, continuing a heritage that began with Paul Sternkopf in 1928.
