Smoker Mole

Bring a playful touch of traditional Erzgebirge craftsmanship into your home with the Incense Smoker – Mole, a charming handcrafted wooden figure created by our FRIEND partner Gahlenz. Inspired by the cheerful character of a hardworking little garden mole, this delightful Räuchermann combines whimsical design with the timeless appeal of German folk art.

The mole is painted in classic black and features a bright red nose, expressive white eyes, and a friendly smile that gives him a lively and endearing appearance. He wears a vivid green apron that adds a fresh pop of color and emphasizes his cheerful, rustic character. In one hand he holds a small shovel, making him instantly recognizable as a busy little digger from the garden world. A small pipe completes the figure and highlights the traditional smoker design.

Designed as a classic Räuchermann, or incense smoker, this figure can be used with suitable incense cones to create the cozy fragrance and atmosphere so closely associated with the Christmas season in the Erzgebirge. When the incense cone is placed inside the figure, the smoke gently rises through the mouth, bringing the little mole charmingly to life.

Carefully handcrafted from wood and finished with great attention to detail, this figure reflects the quality and character of traditional Erzgebirge woodworking. Whether displayed on a shelf, windowsill, mantel, or as part of a larger collection of smokers and folk-art figures, the Incense Smoker – Mole adds humor, warmth, and personality to any seasonal or year-round display.

This figure is manufactured by our FRIEND Gahlenz. STEINBACH Volkskunst offers this unique piece in its online shop but does not manufacture the item itself.

Whether given as a gift or enjoyed as part of your own collection, the Incense Smoker – Mole brings together traditional craftsmanship, playful design, and the unmistakable charm of Erzgebirge wooden folk art.
