Cuckoo Clock Bavarian Beer Garden Chalet

The clock captures a cheerful gathering outside a mountain inn, where friends sit together enjoying a drink while the atmosphere of music, laughter, and Alpine hospitality fills the air.

At the center of the scene, two beer drinkers raise their mugs in a moving animation, bringing the beer garden to life each time the clock strikes. A decorative mill wheel turns beside the chalet, while above the dial traditional dancers spin on the balcony during the musical performance. Additional handcrafted figures add even more character to the scene, including a Bavarian brass band and the friendly waitress Zenzi, who welcomes guests to the celebration.

This clock is the EX version, a special designation from HEKAS that highlights authentic wooden craftsmanship. The clock features a handcrafted wooden cuckoo bird, a solid wood dial, wooden hands, and wooden numerals, giving it a particularly warm and traditional appearance that reflects true Black Forest clockmaking heritage.

Inside the clock is a traditional 8-day mechanical movement, meaning the clock only needs to be wound once per week using the classic pinecone weights. Every hour the cuckoo bird appears to announce the time, followed by music that captures the joyful spirit of a Bavarian gathering. The clock alternates between the beloved melodies “Trink Brüderlein” and “In München steht ein Hofbräuhaus”, switching every hour for a lively musical variety. A convenient strike shut-off allows you to silence the sound whenever desired.
