Electric Light Arch with 10 Candles and Santas – White (Corded)

The Electric Light Arch with 10 Candles and Figures – White is a richly detailed, handcrafted interpretation of one of the most beloved symbols of traditional German Christmas culture, created by our FRIEND partner Gahlenz.

Made from solid wood and finished in a clean, elegant white tone with tasteful gold-accented candle holders, this classic Schwibbogen features a graceful, expanded arched silhouette holding ten evenly arranged candle-style lights. Beneath and within the multi-tiered framework, a festive holiday scene unfolds, complete with numerous hand-painted miniature figures of Santa Claus in traditional red coats, musicians, gift packages, a central frosted fir tree, and a larger central Santa Claus figure that doubles as a traditional incense smoker. Its harmonious design reflects the traditional character of Erzgebirge Christmas decorations, while the crisp white finish and vibrant holiday motifs give the piece a bright, refined appearance. The solid wooden construction highlights the quality of the craftsmanship and gives the light arch a substantial, authentic presence.

The light arch is electrically illuminated and equipped with ten candle-style lights. It operates via a power cord, allowing the candles to glow warmly when connected to electricity. The soft illumination creates a welcoming and festive atmosphere and makes the Schwibbogen especially beautiful when displayed in a window, on a sideboard, mantel, or as the centerpiece of a traditional Christmas arrangement.

The Schwibbogen has a long and meaningful tradition in Germany’s Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge). Originally inspired by the mining heritage of the region, these illuminated arches became symbols of light during the dark winter months. For generations, families have placed Schwibbögen in their windows during Advent and Christmas, creating the warm, glowing atmosphere that has become inseparably connected with traditional Erzgebirge Christmas culture.

With its ten lights, solid wood construction, charming Santa and musician figures, and elegant white finish, the Electric Light Arch with 10 Candles and Figures – White brings authentic German Christmas tradition and warm seasonal illumination into your home. It can be displayed on its own or combined with nutcrackers, incense smokers, angels, miners, and other handcrafted Erzgebirge decorations to create a festive and harmonious holiday scene.

This light arch is manufactured by our FRIEND Gahlenz. STEINBACH Volkskunst offers this unique piece in its online shop but does not manufacture the item itself.
