Electric Light Arch with 7 Candles and Display Shelves – Natural (Corded)

The Electric Light Arch with 7 Candles and Display Shelves – Natural Wood is a beautifully handcrafted interpretation of one of the most beloved symbols of traditional German Christmas culture, created by our FRIEND partner Gahlenz.

Made from solid natural wood and finished in a clear, natural tone, this classic Schwibbogen features a graceful arched silhouette with seven evenly arranged candle-style lights. Designed with built-in display shelves, it offers a wonderful tiered stage to showcase miniature wooden figures, seasonal decorations, or a festive winter scene. Its clean, timeless design reflects the traditional character of Erzgebirge Christmas decorations, while the natural wood grain gives the piece a distinctive, authentic appearance. The solid wooden construction highlights the quality of the craftsmanship and gives the light arch a substantial, warm presence.

The light arch is electrically illuminated and equipped with seven candle-style lights. It operates via a power cord, allowing the candles to glow warmly when connected to electricity. The soft illumination creates a welcoming and festive atmosphere and makes the Schwibbogen especially beautiful when displayed in a window, on a sideboard, mantel, or as the centerpiece of a traditional Christmas arrangement.

The Schwibbogen has a long and meaningful tradition in Germany’s Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge). Originally inspired by the mining heritage of the region, these illuminated arches became symbols of light during the dark winter months. For generations, families have placed Schwibbögen in their windows during Advent and Christmas, creating the warm, glowing atmosphere that has become inseparably connected with traditional Erzgebirge Christmas culture.

With its seven lights, solid natural wood construction, practical display shelves, and classic finish, the Electric Light Arch with 7 Candles and Display Shelves – Natural Wood brings authentic German Christmas tradition and warm seasonal illumination into your home. It can be displayed on its own or decorated with nutcrackers, incense smokers, angels, miners, and other handcrafted Erzgebirge figures on its shelves to create a festive and harmonious holiday scene.

This light arch is manufactured by our FRIEND Gahlenz. STEINBACH Volkskunst offers this unique piece in its online shop but does not manufacture the item itself.
