What might the little violinist be playing? Surely, it must be heavenly music. This charming figure was created by Reinhold Unger in 1948 and, in the size offered here, has remained virtually unchanged ever since. The figure depicts a blond angel dressed in a forest-green robe adorned with delicate celestial stars. In his hand, he holds a violin — one can almost hear the melody. His gaze is lowered toward the instrument as he immerses himself in the art of playing.
In 1983, Gerhard Skrobek and Maria Müller modeled a smaller version of this beloved classic.
