Hum 2392 – Christmas Is Just Around the Corner

Christmas stories are simply magical. Whether it’s the biblical story of the birth of Jesus, the beloved classic Three Wishes for Cinderella, or The Nutcracker – they captivate both young and old alike. That very magic is reflected in the Hummel figurine “Christmas Is Just Around the Corner.” Seated in a cozy armchair, the older sister reads aloud to her little brother, who listens with rapt attention to her gentle voice. Even the family cat has joined the heartwarming scene.

Created in 2020 by sculptor Marion Huschka in the Hummel Manufactory in Rödental, this figurine enchants with its lovingly detailed features: the small rocking horse in the boy’s hand, the nutcracker and walnuts on the side table, and the girl’s bright red hair ribbon. The ensemble is completed by the peacefully sleeping kitten resting at the feet of the Hummel girl.
