Hum 2398 – A Time of Reflection

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year—especially for children. All year long we look forward to the sparkle in their eyes when the Christmas tree is finally set up and the long-awaited gifts beneath it are unwrapped.

This very feeling of joy and wonder is beautifully captured in our Hummel figurine “A Time of Reflection”, modeled in 2021 by Marion Huschka. It portrays a pair of siblings gazing in awe at the decorated Christmas tree—with its classic red ornaments, glowing candles, and golden star crowning the top. The tree stands on a small stool draped with a festive cloth, adding to the holiday charm.

The little boy’s eyes are fixed on the dazzling tree, while his older sister gently rests her hand on his shoulder in a protective gesture. In her other hand, she holds the doll she has just received from the Christ Child. Both children are dressed in their finest holiday attire, perfectly suited for Christmas Eve. And tucked discreetly behind the tree, the family cat has found its cozy place, completing this heartwarming and peaceful scene.
