Smoker Small Saint Peter

Step into the timeless world of traditional Erzgebirge craftsmanship with the Incense Smoker Saint Peter, a beautifully handcrafted wooden figure created by our FRIEND partner Gahlenz.

Saint Peter is traditionally depicted here in a light blue robe with a white beard and a warm, friendly expression. His beautifully painted face, flowing white hair and beard, and carefully crafted details give him the distinctive character of a classic Erzgebirge wooden figure. Around his waist, a decorative braided cord adds an authentic finishing touch to his traditional appearance.

In his hands, Saint Peter carries two of his most recognizable attributes: a key and a lantern. The key is traditionally associated with Saint Peter as the keeper of the keys to the gates of Heaven, while the lantern adds a charming detail to his appearance. His pipe is held gently in front of his beard and transforms this detailed figure into a functional incense smoker. The Gahlenz model is officially listed as “Räuchermann Petrus” and is made for incense cones up to 0.98 inches in diameter.

At approximately 6.3 inches tall, the Incense Smoker Saint Peter is a wonderful size for displaying on a mantel, shelf, table, or as part of a collection of traditional German wooden folk art. The figure is handcrafted from wood and is made in the Erzgebirge region of Germany.

Place an incense cone inside the smoker and enjoy as fragrant smoke gently rises through Saint Peter's pipe, bringing this charming figure to life and creating a cozy, atmospheric feeling in your home.

This smoker is manufactured by our FRIEND Gahlenz. STEINBACH Volkskunst offers this unique piece in its online shop but does not manufacture the item itself.

Whether displayed during the Christmas season or enjoyed year-round, the Incense Smoker Saint Peter combines religious symbolism, traditional craftsmanship, and the cozy tradition of German incense smokers in one charming wooden figure.

Handmade in Germany by our FRIEND Gahlenz.
