Smoker Bear

Bring a playful and heartwarming touch of Erzgebirge craftsmanship into your home with the Incense Smoker – Bear, a charming handcrafted wooden figure created by our FRIEND partner Gahlenz. This delightful Räuchermann combines traditional German folk art with a whimsical forest theme, making it a wonderful addition to both Christmas decorations and year-round collections.

Designed as a friendly brown bear, this figure features a warm natural color palette, expressive painted eyes, a rounded black nose, and a charming open mouth that gives the bear its characteristic smoker function. The bear holds a bright yellow beehive and small honey-themed details in its paws, adding a cheerful and imaginative touch to the design. These playful elements give the figure a distinctive personality and make it especially appealing to collectors who enjoy animal motifs and lovingly crafted decorative pieces.

As a traditional incense smoker, the figure can be used with suitable incense cones to create the cozy fragrance and atmosphere so closely associated with the Christmas season in the Erzgebirge. Once the incense cone is placed inside, the smoke gently rises through the bear’s mouth, bringing the figure charmingly to life and adding warmth and character to any festive setting.

Carefully handcrafted from wood and finished with great attention to detail, the Incense Smoker – Bear reflects the quality and tradition of Erzgebirge woodworking. Whether displayed on a shelf, windowsill, mantel, or as part of a larger collection of smokers and wooden folk-art figures, this friendly bear adds humor, charm, and a touch of woodland magic to your home.

This figure is manufactured by our FRIEND Gahlenz. STEINBACH Volkskunst offers this unique piece in its online shop but does not manufacture the item itself.

Whether as a gift or as part of your own collection, the Incense Smoker – Bear brings together traditional craftsmanship, playful design, and the unmistakable charm of Erzgebirge wooden folk art.
