Smoker Doctor

Step into the world of traditional professions and Erzgebirge craftsmanship with the Incense Smoker Doctor, a beautifully handcrafted figure created by our FRIEND partner Gahlenz. Dressed in his classic white doctor’s coat, this charming physician is instantly recognizable by his round medical glasses, white beard, and traditional doctor’s attire. In one hand, he carries a white medical bag decorated with a red cross, while his detailed clothing and medical symbols add plenty of character to this lovingly crafted figure. His friendly expression, distinctive moustache, and carefully painted details give him a wonderfully nostalgic appearance.

The Doctor is approximately 6.3 inches tall and is crafted from wood using traditional Erzgebirge woodworking techniques. Gahlenz is known for its lovingly handcrafted wooden figures and traditional folk-art designs, with its range including a variety of distinctive incense smokers.

Place an incense cone inside the smoker and enjoy how fragrant smoke gently rises through the Doctor’s pipe, bringing this traditional wooden figure to life and adding a cozy, atmospheric touch to your home. The smoker is designed for standard incense cones up to approximately 0.98 inches in diameter.

This smoker is manufactured by our FRIEND Gahlenz. STEINBACH Volkskunst offers this unique piece in its online shop but does not manufacture the item itself.

Whether displayed during the holiday season or enjoyed year-round, the Incense Smoker Doctor brings together charming storytelling, traditional craftsmanship, and a playful nod to one of the most recognizable professions. It makes a wonderful addition to any collection of authentic German wooden folk art.

Handmade in Germany by our FRIEND Gahlenz.
